Advanced Warehouses served as the design and engineering firm for our CDC-compliant Animal Care Facility (ACF) located at Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD). This is a highly specialized, federally regulated facility built to meet CDC, USDA, airline, and international import/export requirements for live animal handling.
The project required precise coordination with multiple regulatory agencies, strict adherence to biosecurity protocols, controlled ventilation and air management systems, isolation capabilities, specialized drainage design, and compliance with evolving federal construction standards. The facility was engineered to safely support the intake, temporary housing, inspection, and release of international canine and companion animal imports entering the United States.
Advanced Warehouses demonstrated exceptional professionalism, technical expertise, and responsiveness throughout the entire process. Their team clearly understood the complexity of building within an active airport cargo environment while simultaneously meeting federal CDC requirements.
